‘Dolly ki Tapri', the famous tea stall in Maharashtra’s Nagpur, is becoming very popular on the internet. The stall owner's unique way of serving chai to its customers has grabbed a lot of eyeballs.
With his long hair streaked with color, the guy is known for pouring milk into the tea from a considerable height without any spillage. He also hands out change very quickly, owing to his quick mental maths ability. He has a swagger and style about him equaled by no one in his line of business.
He also has an out-of-the-ordinary way of lighting up the cigarettes of his customers.
To make sure the world comes to know about this maverick chailwala, a group called ‘Street Food Recipes’, posted the video on its Facebook page which went viral.
He has been serving chai at his stall for 20 years. He opens his tea-stall at 6 am in the morning and shuts down the shop at 9 pm.
Commenting on bringing a certain sense of swagger to something as bland as being a tea-seller, he said that he draws inspiration from South Indian movies, and superstar Rajinikanth, and tries to add a larger-than-life dimension to his work.
He is always committed to making his customers feel welcome and gives free elaichi to the first-time visitors of his stall.
So if you are in Nagpur, don't miss a hot cup of tea served at ‘Dolly ki Tapri' for just Rs 7.
